  1. This November 2011 we were going to make our annual holiday delivery to the Rosebud & Pine Ridge reservation. However, due to the early winter this year and the extreme winters the last few years we have decided to change our holiday delivery to a spring delivery in 2012. Similar to the delivery we made this spring 2011. Due to the many humanitarian request nationally from numerous Indian communities, clans, tribes and reservations we may consider smaller deliveries to numerous reservations in Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, including South Dakota. With such overwhelming needs our Board members will have some tough choices to make this coming year.

San Pasqual Rez tribal government will again donate funds to help in our efforts to deliver needed services and goods. This effort is due to our Southern California Coordinator, Huumaay Quisquis.

  2. We have teamed up with a large Christian organization from the Denton-Arygle area in Texas for a project that will bring work teams and supplies for home repair, including installing heating stoves, food, water purification, etc. to the Pine Ridge/Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. Our goal is to arrive in spring of 2012. AIHF will assist with coordinating the logistics and community relations. The Church volunteers will donate their own time and money to bring some relief to those in need. They have contributed humanitarian needs to worldwide disasters, such as Haiti, Indonesia, India, Mexico and South America. They have experience in building schools, clean water for communities, construction repair and more.

We are grateful that there are others who commit humanitarian relief (from their hearts) on a worldwide basis have recognized the 3rd world conditions and indigent conditions here in America amongst our nations original native people….  More info will follow.

  3. We have been advised from San Pasqual Reservation, Valley View Casino & Hotel that they have more pallets of clothes to donate. We are looking to see where we can send these items to help our people in need.

  4. After making the attempt 3 years ago then deciding that our commitments do not warrant the financial requirements nor the administrative burdens to create an IRS 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation, we have decided to file for the non-profit status due to increased donations. Thanks to recent donors we have now grown to meet the criteria standards. Again we thank our Texas donor who donated the funds that we may pay the high fee to file for non-profit status, as well as serve more Indian people.

5. We have changed our P.O. Box mailing address to a local business address. This required us to amend our Articles of Incorporations to reflect said changes.

Wanted to Thank Everyone for their Generosity & Support

From Hand-out to Hand-Up
From Dependancy to Self-Sufficiency and Self-Reliance

Our intended Goal is a long term approach with the emphasis to create a self-reliant environment while implementing short to long term concepts that will someday ignite a new generation of informative native citizens to become responsible leaders for their people that embrace the traditional ideals of honor, integrity, humility and sacrifice, positive values that replace apathy and despondency with hope and purpose.

Our Success is only as Good as our Team of Volunteers

We are a grassroots volunteer charity. we strive for 100% of all donations to reach those in need. Our Board, Staff and Volunteers have agreed to accept no salaries for our work with this corporation. Our efforts are to ensure the continual movement of donations and supplies to our fellow Native Americans who are truly in need. Our motive is the sincere desire to serve from the heart, as our ancestors did.

Some of these dedicated volunteers have decades of experience in humanitarian programs, working unselfishly while receiving payments of warm smiles, thank you hugs and heart felt love.

There is no greater satisfaction of the heart then to see the smile on a child’s face when handing them a toy or an elder’s smile upon receiving a warm blanket. There is no greater joy then to serve those who can not serve themselves.
