It also examines national, state, and local coalitions that encourage cooperation among educational institutions, businesses, and industry groups in order to sponsor special programs in science, math, and technology for urban and minority schools.

FAFSA Free Application for Federal Student AID. This website provides access to the on-line applications for PELL GRANTS and other Federally sponsored financial aid. The on-line offer 3-4 day response vice several weeks with paper applications.

These two awards, A Partnership on the Pacific and Coney Island Classroom are the results of significant partnerships initiated by non-profit organizations interested in helping schools to improve science and math instruction.

Grants for Science Education..Through its grants programs, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute is committed to strengthening science education at all levels-from kindergarten through postgraduate training. In addition, their teacher training workshops, emphasizing hands-on, inquiry-based activities appropriate for the classroom, greatly expand the potential of the Holiday Lectures as a resource for teachers.

IBM Reinventing Education Grant Program..IBM is working with school communities across the country. At each of these grant sites, IBM is contributing much more than money. IBM is also bringing in world-reknown researchers, educational consultants, and innovative technology to spur and fund long-term school restructuring and broad based systematic change that raise student achievement.

National Science Teacher Association..NSTA and their sponsors reward teachers and students with over $1 million in cash and prizes each year. Their awards recognize outstanding classroom science teachers and science students who have had a positive impact on his or her students, school, and community through exemplary science teaching.

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) is providing nearly $38 billion this year to states and school districts, primarily through formula-based grant programs, to improve elementary and secondary schools and meet the special needs of students. ED is providing about $2.5 billion to help strengthen teaching and learning in colleges and other postsecondary institutions and $5 billion to support rehabilitation, adult education, research and development, statistics, and assessment.

APA Minority Fellowship Programs.. The MFP's objective is to increase the knowledge of issues related to ethnic minority mental health and to improve the quality of mental health treatment delivered to ethnic minority populations. They do this by providing financial support and professional guidance to individuals pursuing doctoral degrees in psychology: the Mental Health Services Training Fellowship; the Substance Abuse Training Fellowship; the Mental Health Research Training Fellowship; the HIV/AIDS Research Training Fellowship; and the Minority Aging Network in Psychology.

The PhD Project.. Welcome to The PhD Project on the Web. An alliance of corporations and higher education institutions, along with numerous academic and professional associations, The PhD Project utilizes a holistic approach to improve workplace diversity by diversifying business school faculties. They're actively recruiting African-American, Hispanic-American, and Native American professionals who have an interest in pursuing a business doctorate. The PhD Project runs on the belief that by increasing the diversity of academic faculties, the end result will be an increase in minority workforce numbers.

The Fellowship Office of PGA administers predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellowship programs in research-based fields of study. The office currently administers the following programs: Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships For Achieving Excellence in College and University Teaching, the Resident Research Associateship Programs, the U.S. Department of State Jefferson Science Fellows Program, the Vietnam Education Foundation Fellowships, and HUD Urban Scholars Program.

American Indian: Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, has partnered with the American Indian Graduate Center to establish the Accenture American Indian Scholarship Fund.Accenture is pleased to announce that, through a partnership agreement with the American Indian Graduate Center, it is accepting applications for the Accenture American Indian Scholarship Fund. These scholarships were announced in conjunction with Accenture's role as supporter and management consulting and information technology services advisor to the Smithsonian's new National Museum of the American Indian. The Accenture scholarships meet a vital need for American Indian and Alaska Native students seeking higher education. The scholarship fund will select high achieving, degree seeking American Indian students entering their first year of an undergraduate or graduate level at a U.S. accredited college or university. Candidates will be chosen based on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership ability and a commitment to American Indian community.

Tribal colleges and universities (TCUs) have always been valued partners in community efforts to address pressing social, educational, and economic issues. Most of these institutions of higher education serve remote regions and a growing number of local residents have come to depend heavily on TCU-sponsored education, counseling, health, and economic development initiatives. In support of their efforts to address these growing demands, OUP awards grants through its Tribal Colleges and Universities Program (TCUP) to TCUs to expand, renovate, and equip their own facilities.

The ScholarshipHelp.org website provides comprehensive information on various aspects of searching, applying and receiving scholarships. Special sections assist students to understand different types of scholarships, preparing a complete and competitive application, and avoiding scholarship scams.

National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME).. In 1973, only 1,255 U.S. engineering graduates were Latinos, African Americans, or American Indians. By 1998, that number had increased fivefold, thanks in part to leadership from National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME). NACME is now the largest privately funded source of scholarships for minority engineering students. In 1998, the organization awarded more than $3.3 million in scholarships to universities in 28 states as well as in Puerto Rico. In addition to its scholarship program, NACME conducts research and public policy analysis in education, develops and operates national demonstration projects at pre-college and university levels, and provides broad dissemination of information through publications, conferences, and electronic media.

Scholarships for Minority Accounting Students.. This scholarship program provides awards of up to $5,000 to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. These awards are funded by the AICPA Foundation from monies contributed by the AICPA, its members, public accounting firms, and others. The program has been in existence for more than 20 years and has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships.

Each fall and spring, the Scholarship and Scholastic Committee in the College of Nusing makes many awards to students. Last year it awarded over 25 scholarships to 50 students for over $100,000. Gates Millennium Scholars Program.. Microsoft chairman and co-founder Bill Gates is pledging at least $1 billion to fund full scholarships over the next 20 years for minority students in education, math, science and engineering. The program, which Gates and officials at his philanthropic foundation plan to formally announce here Thursday, will seek to help a minimum of 1,000 high school students a year, promising them enough money to cover tuition, room and board and other expenses through college and any graduate degrees, including a doctorate, that they pursue. In the coming year only, the Millennium Scholarship Program will target promising students who are already in college.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund Online.. The Education Gateway for U.S. Hispanics is by AT&T. HSF scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500 are available to undergraduate and graduate students of Hispanic parentage who have completed at least fifteen units/credits of undergraduate college work with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants must be enrolled for the fall and spring semester of each year as full-time students and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and at least half Hispanic background.

We are a grassroots volunteer charity. we strive for 100% of all donations to reach those in need. Our Board, Staff and Volunteers have agreed to accept no salaries for our work with this corporation. Our efforts are to ensure the continual movement of donations and supplies to our fellow Native Americans who are truly in need. Our motive is the sincere desire to serve from the heart, as our ancestors did.

Some of these dedicated volunteers have decades of experience in humanitarian programs, working unselfishly while receiving payments of warm smiles, thank you hugs and heart felt love.

There is no greater satisfaction of the heart then to see the smile on a child’s face when handing them a toy or an elder’s smile upon receiving a warm blanket. There is no greater joy then to serve those who can not serve themselves.
